Frequently Asked Questions
I have purchased my own flooring, will you install it for me?
At Carpets and Flooring by John Wright, we only offer fitting services on products we supply. Simply because purchasing flooring via a third party will deprive you of the warranties and guarantees provided by going directly to the flooring manufacturer. It is in your best interest to go to a local flooring retailer and buy any flooring product with them as they will all have direct accounts with manufacturers and as such are granted with those guarantees and warranties to protect you, the customer.
Do you offer a free measuring and quotation service?
Of course! We are more than happy to measure and quote for your flooring. The best course of action is for you to come into our showroom and choose the flooring you would like, then one of our estimating team will come to your property at your convenience to measure and give you advice on what flooring products would suit your home best, what preparation is required and any other questions you may have.
Will you move my furniture?
Our installers within reason will move furniture, although this will incur an additional charge per room, your salesperson will discuss with you at the time. Should you choose to have us move furniture, we will only move empty items of furniture and absolutely no electronics and items of sentimental/personal value. If our installers arrive to an installation and an unacceptable amount of furniture is present, we will cease installation and rearrange at the convenience of Carpets and Flooring by John Wright.
Can you uplift and dispose of my old flooring?
We are more than happy to uplift and dispose your old flooring. Depending on the type of flooring that needs uplifting, additional charges may be incurred. Your salesperson will discuss with you the options in regard to our uplift and disposal service at the time of sale. Our installers will under no circumstances remove floorcoverings that impose a potential health risk. Any floors to be uplifted and disposed of must be clean otherwise the installer reserves the right to cease installation.
How do I care for my new flooring?
All types of flooring require different methods of care and cleaning, and your salesperson will be happy to advise you at point of sale on what your specific floor covering requires. You can also ask your installer for advice, they will be happy to help.
Can you beat another quote?
Our team will be happy to consider another quote as long as you can provide a paper copy of the quote and then we will be happy to adjust in any way we can within reason. The reason we don't always come in cheaper to our competitors is due to our firm stance against compromising our standards. We will only use trusted manufacturers and the very best quality of materials and as such, our quotes may be more expensive at the time, but the extended lifespan of your flooring will make up for the small expense in the long term.
Do you provide a supply only service?
We are more than happy to provide any product in our showroom to you without a fitting service. The terms of pick-up/delivery will be discussed to you by your salesperson.
How long is my quotation accurate for?
Due to a rapidly changing global climate, we can only validate quotations within 14 days of issue, due to the prices changing by the day from our manufacturers.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, debit/credit card and bank transfer for any payments made in store. We do not accept cheque.
